THE BAND

We are the The Elements, a teenage Indie Rock Band in North County San Diego, California. Our songs span the range from slow, featuring simple instrumentation, to dynamic, a combination of heart pumping guitar sections with thundering percussion. Strong vocals are highlighted through meaningful and catchy lyrics. We also play covers of songs from bands like the Beatles, Cage the Elephant, Talking Heads, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Fitz and the Tantrums.

We have performed in San Diego at the Music Box, House of Blues, San Diego Fair, Petco Park, Fiesta Del Sol, Summer Fun on the 101, and SDCCU Stadium to name a few. In the summer of 2017, we were honored to perform at 5-time Olympian Tony Azevedo's inaugural Aquatic Games in Long Beach. This marked our debut out of San Diego County, and we have performed there each summer since.

We perform at community events for the City of Encinitas, Encinitas Friends of the Arts, Encinitas Highway 101 Main Street Association, and the Leucadia 101 Main Street Association.

Julian Boyer

Vocals & Bass

I'm Julian, vocalist, bassist, and keyboard player. I joined The Elements when created and founded in February 2014. I began taking vocal lessons in 2011. I started playing piano in 2008 and taught myself how to play the bass in 2016. I love to surf, play music, and create art.

Dylan Herrera

Drums & Guitar

I'm Dylan, the drummer and guitarist. I joined the band in March of 2014. I began taking piano lessons at age 5 until I was 13. I joined the band as the keyboardist and occasionally filled in on guitar. I switched to the drums in January of 2016. I like to swim, play water polo, skateboard, bike, play basketball, read, cook, and compose music.

Eli Anderson

Keyboard & Saxophone

I’m Eli, the keyboardist and saxophonist. I grew up listening to classic rock greats such as Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, The Beatles, and The Who. My greatest influence for playing has been Elton John; Ray Manzarek, The Doors; and Richard Wright, Pink Floyd. While I began playing piano at 7, I was 12 when my passion for making music became much stronger. In 2017, I started performing with The Elements and have grown as a musician greatly. In 2019, I contributed to The Elements second CD. I have written and performed one original for the Elements and written solo songs independently.
